htaccess file explanation – why is it inactive?
An htaccess file is a configuration file for Apache based servers – stated in our Nginx serve rule – so the file in question is not active at all.
However, our management panel makes it possible to perform most of the operations within the interface itself in an efficient and convenient manner.
If you need to take an action – please contact us and we will be happy to advise and explain how that can be accomplished.
In exceptional cases, there is another possibility – move the site to an Apache-based server. This can be accomplished via the uPress Admin Panel by first contacting the uPress Support Department.
